Job Overview
We are a leading physiotherapy clinic in the heart of Kitsilano and are looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to work in a busy health care environment. We are looking for someone with a minimum of one-year experience; preference will be given to those who have used the Jane software. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our physiotherapy clinic.
Benefits:
· EI, CPP, Stat pay, vacation pay and medical/dental plan
Status/Schedule:
· Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage
· Work hours: 32 to 38 hours per week
· $22-24 per hour
Duties Include:
Front Reception
· Greet patients professionally and promptly
· Booking new patients in the clinic and answering questions they may have regarding seeing a physiotherapist
· Follow-up with patients regarding re-booking their appointments
· Providing a pleasant experience for patients
· Answering all patients phone calls during a shift, respond to voicemails and emails immediately
Electronic Medical Records & Billing
· Schedule patients using the JaneApp
· Ensure patient intake forms are completed
· Complete billing to 3rd party insurers, ICBC, WCB
· Ensure patients have completed necessary forms for direct billing
· Follow-up with insurance companies for appropriate payment
· Receive private patient’s payment i.e. credit card or debit
Physiotherapist Support
· Clean treatment rooms before and after patients
· Remove heat or modalities from patients at the end of treatment
· Clean and sterilize all equipment following the clinic’s protocols
· Monitor clinic supplies, weekly ordering and tracking receiving supplies
· Ability to work as part of a team to assist therapists as needed
· Organizing and tidying office
Requirements:
· MOA certificate
· 1 years of experience working in office administration setting, preference for candidates with previous experience in a physiotherapy clinic or allied health clinic
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal of the English language
· Strong proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, EMR
· Ability to quickly learn new software and technology
· MUST be able to multi-task in a busy environment while ensuring customer service
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
