WHAT IS HOME SHARE:
Individuals share a family home, suite, or share an apartment with a caregiver (you). Individuals receive ongoing support from home share providers (you), in basic financial management, health and nutrition, relationship building, and developing strong links with people in their community. Support varies depending on the needs of the individual.

Home Share Provider (Contracted Position)

The Developmental Disabilities Association (DDA) has been supporting people with disabilities for over 60 years. At DDA, we strongly believe that a home is more than just a location or physical materials. It is about people & relationships. Home Sharing/Life sharing is a fulfilling and rewarding experience where you are contributing to someone’s quality of life and well-being, while welcoming them into your home and daily life.

We are looking for caregivers to share their home in Richmond & Vancouver. Experience working with challenging behaviors and training in non-violent intervention is an asset.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
• Monthly contract compensation that is determined by the level of support required.
• Careful considerations during the matching process.
• Monitoring services and regular contact with Home Share Manager.
• Support through resources, guidance, training and workshops.
