Description
The Human Resources Manager works with the Director of Human Resources, department Managers, and employees to ensure that activities related to hiring, on-boarding, work-related injuries, non-work-related absences, scheduling preferences, disciplines, health and safety, and terminations are properly dealt with in a timely manner.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
- Manages the recruitment and selection function of the property
- Oversees the new hire orientation program
- Complete administration of short-term disability and WorkSafeBC claims.
- Assist in creating employee training programs
- Assists the Human Resources Director with content for hotel-wide communications
- Oversees locker inventory and audits.
- Assists the Director of HR with the Labour Relations matters
- Assist the HR Director in planning, coordinating, and executing all Employee Appreciation related events
- Administers the Employee Compass Pass program.
- Assists Director of Human Resources with updating content for hotel-wide communications
- Assist in handling termination-related matters
- Complete employment confirmation letters, Friends and Family room inquiries, and service awards
- Assist Human Resources Director in the promotion of Health and Safety in the work environment
- Performs other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
· Previous HR Manager experience (at least 3 year)
· A minimum of 2-year hotel experience or related experience
Skills and Knowledge
· Written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledgeable of benefits

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
