Junior Draftsperson, Piping & Pipelines

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Creating, Drafting and Back drafting various kinds of Pipeline and Piping drawings
• Coordinate with the Design Lead to ensure that company and/or client drawing standards and specifications are followed as required.
• Coordinate with the Design Lead, to check and review drawing packages for completeness and ensure they are ready for issue.
• Assist the Design Lead in maintaining project schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 to 3+ years’ experience in the Engineering and Construction industry
• Experience in the Piping or Pipeline field will be an asset
• 2 year Drafting Design Diploma from an accredited technical institution
• 1 to 3+ years of CAD experience (including but not limited to: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, CADWorx 3D)


 

SKILLS:

• Proficient in current editions of design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and Microsoft Office Suite(including but not limited to Excel, Teams)

• Familiarity with CADWorx will be an asset.

• Knowledge of current industry/ regulatory codes and standards
• Must be familiar with piping specifications, administrative and technical practices, design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams, and interpreting vendor information
• Able to conceptualize and draw design details independently with minor instruction from Design Lead
• Able to work on multiple, smaller projects simultaneously
• Highly motivated and eager to contribute to an effective and efficient design/ drafting team
• Solid time management and communication skills will be very important as the role can get challenging with competing priorities

This role could be either contractor or employee hourly and the range is $19-40/Hour depending on job specific experience, years of total work experience and education.

We are a hybrid work environment with 3 days in office and 2 days optional from a home office. We support flexibility, diversity and a work/life balance.
