Skilled Construction Labourer

Kinsol Timber Systems is a leader in the design and construction of timber structures, specifically in the Mass Timber industry. We are seeking to grow our team by adding Skilled Labourers in support of the execution of our work, both here on the Island and elsewhere.

As a Skilled Labourer within Kinsol, we expect the applicant to perform perform a range of general construction related tasks as assigned to the company’s standard of quality, under the direction of the Foreman and Supervisor.

These duties include the following:

• Physically demanding tasks that include lifting, carrying, climbing ladders and moving materials;
• Operate and care for construction equipment, machines, materials, and tools;
• Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary.
• Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
• Load or unload construction materials.
• Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
• Follow instructions from supervisors.
• Bring discrepancies and special conditions to the attention of the Foreman/Supervisor
• Assist craft workers.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site

Requirements:

• Commercial construction experience is a must
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Punctual, reliable, good communicator and a supportive team player
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
• Fully respects, supports and conducts all daily work activities with a strong focus on Safety
• Detail oriented and accountable for work completed, including completion of supporting paperwork
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma.
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
• Ability to work in all weather.
• Must be able to supply their own basic tool kit and PPE.

Preference will be given to applicants with Fall Protection and AWP Training.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $23.75-$26.25 per hour
